$1,000,000,000 dining chairs??? You can’t be serious … can you???
The other weekend we decided that we needed to re-cover our old dining chairs with some new “kid/spill” friendly material. They look a treat … one can confidently say that they “look a million bucks” … well actually they look close to a billion bucks. After purchasing the material and glue we spend almost 1 billion dollars; I have to say it was a relief that we had all 10 million dollar notes otherwise we would have had to hitch up our trailer to the back of our car to take all the cash to pay for materials.

Thank you for the Maize Crop
I can’t remember if I told you last year … but South Pine Community Church donated money so that Willow Park could prepare and plant a maize crop. This crop will be used to grind down into mealie meal and should provide the girls in Samkele with enough mealie meal for the year. What is so good about this maize crop is that basically everything can be used and nothing will go to waist … please let me explain.
The obvious outcome will be the cornels from the maize which will be grounded down to make the mealie meal. From this grinding down there is wastage which can be used to feed the diary cows or our rabbits (which we haven’t got …. yet). The cobs and the stalks of the maize can be put through a silage cutter (kind of like a big grinding machine) which also makes for GREAT food for our livestock or as fertiliser for our fields. We have also been advised to cut down half of the stalks after harvest and leave them on the ground for the next seasons planting. Apparently this is a GREAT natural fertiliser. So, in theory there is absolutely NO wastage in this maize crop and it will be EXTEMELY beneficial in SO many ways … I can’t wait to see this all in action.
Thank you South Pine Community Church for your donations … this act of generosity will go a VERY long way in helping Willow Park and it’s ministries.
Check out the Window of Love

Just another day in Zim
We decided to get away for a couple of nights at the start of the week. As we were sitting on our deck at Antelope Park we heard something coming our way in the water … we should have expected this … but it still took us by surprise.
The Dam is lookin’ good
The last time I told you about the rain I showed some pictures of the MASSIVE pot-holes / small lakes which had been created in the middle of the roads around Bulawayo and Harare. What I did forget to show you are the dams at Willow Park … it is GREAT to see them over flowing after the HUGE holes had been fixed.
